Watching is easy.
Knowing is the hard part.

HaShomer builds AI that reads what a camera is actually seeing — and grades it, in the moment, with the evidence attached. Counter-UAS hardware is the second line of work.

Introduction

01

A camera that records everything tells you nothing until somebody watches it back.

HaShomer is an AI company. The primary work is perception software: systems that watch live video and classify what is happening — by severity, as it happens, with the footage that proves it attached to the record.

The second line is defence hardware, for one threat that software alone cannot reach. A fibre-optic guided drone emits nothing to detect, so no amount of signal processing finds it. That one needs a sensor in the air and something to shoot with.

Safety over money

השומר — the watchman. The name of the guard organisation founded in 1909 to defend the early settlements, and the forerunner of everything that came after it. A watchman does not strike first. He sees first, and he is certain before he speaks.

HaShomer is a solo company, founded and based in Israel. The work is AI systems for defence and security, and the hardware that has to exist where software runs out — and we take on special requests outside that core, from an aircraft to a mine.

01
One person, one standard
Founded and run as a solo company, based in Israel. No layer between the engineering and the decision to ship it.
02
AI first, hardware where it is needed
The core of the business is perception and decision software. Interceptors, radars and systems like the counter-UAS mast exist because some problems do not have a software answer.
03
Quality over profit, always
We are not playing with a soldier's safety to protect a margin. If a product is not good enough to trust with someone's life, it does not ship — whatever that costs us.

Have an idea? We will hear it — and if it ships, you earn a cut.

Every idea gets a real look, whoever it comes from. Send it to info@hashomer.cc; if we take it to production, you get a share of what it makes.

HaShomer is in development. Vigil is a running prototype, not a fielded product, and its figures describe how it is built rather than measured performance in service. The counter-UAS system has no hardware: detection range is modelled, the other figures are illustrative concept targets, and time on station is unknown until the envelope leak rate is measured. The 3D scenes are illustrative — terrain is generic, aircraft are drawn oversize to stay visible at scale, the approach phase of the simulator runs time-compressed, and engagement timings are indicative. Nothing here describes a deployed system or a specific location.
